Based on current COVID-19 recovery trends, the Department of Health and Human Services announced that the US federal Public Health Emergency (PHE) waivers will end on May 11, 2023. Private payers, Medicaid, and Medicare initiated widespread telehealth reimbursement approvals.

News and Research The American Telemedicine Association’s ATA Action submitted two letters to the Drug Enforcement Administration about its proposed rules regarding the remote prescribing of controlled substances. With the end of the public health emergency, DEA is proposing a rollback on flexibility for remote prescribing.
