There is concern that applications are being written by people that might not be as mature in the knowledge of how important Privacy is in healthcare.

In the 4th Kaiser Family Foundation Longitudinal Panel Survey , some impressive findings surround the state of California. The survey polled a randomly selected pool of uninsured adult Californians and tracked their health care journey starting in 2013. Now, three years later, 72% of those who were previously uninsured are now insured. This news follows three-years into the mission of the ACA to expand coverage throughout the state.

This month, Sanofi filed a patent lawsuit against fellow drugmaker Merck & Co. to block the latter company from releasing a biosimilar insulin that is supposed to copycat Lantus, according to a FiercePharma report.

Prosecutors allege that the Raditas withheld insulin and starved the child until he was 37 pounds, according to a CBC report. By the end of his life, Alex was wearing a diaper and his body was covered with sores.

According to a new study, smoking may influence metabolic control and increase the risk of vascular complications in people with Type 1 diabetes. It also ups your A1C score. These risks come in addition to the health hazards of cancer and emphysema. (We’d like to add the word “duh” to these findings, because, you know, smoking is bad for you.). The study, published in Diabetes Care , compared the health of smokers and nonsmokers with Type 1 diabetes.
