The Washington State legislature passed House Bill 1155, aka the My Health, My Data Act , last week. The bill expands privacy protections for Washington State’s health citizens beyond HIPAA’s provisions. Note that 3 in 4 Washingtonians supported the law when polled in March 2023, with only 17% of people opposing it.
