I tried three-compartment, two-compartment, and one-compartment models, each followed with a plasma compartment for the final destination, which was what I measured with the BG test meter. The mouth, throat, stomach, and duodenum all act like one big compartment, in effect, after which the glucose finally reaches circulating blood plasma.
