When UMH-West moved to its current location in 2007, downtown Grand Rapids was already home to the “Medical Mile,” a cluster of large providers and medical schools. However, its location is central to suburban residents who live south of Grand Rapids ― less so for the urban, mostly nonwhite patient base at Exalta.
