HIC Announced as Key Sponsor for ABHI US Accelerator 2023

HIC is excited to announce our sponsorship of this year’s ABHI US Accelerator programme, taking place January-December 2023. We are looking forward to supporting this year’s participants to explore opportunities to grow and succeed overseas, as well as connecting with US companies interested in deploying their innovations in the UK.

At HIC we understand that whilst digital health is a core component of a 21^st century healthcare ecosystem, embedding it can be extremely challenging. We are committed to overcoming these challenges, creating a supportive community of innovators in health tech, and helping to create long-lasting connections and partnerships between the UK and talented innovators from all over the world.

Now in its sixth year, the 12-month programme is designed to support UK HealthTech companies grow their business in the US, offering them access to an impressive network of industry experts and mentors to help them grow and succeed overseas.

A total of 30 companies from the world of health technology, comprising some of the industry’s finest innovators, are taking part in this year’s cohort. Together they constitute a diverse mix of medical device, diagnostics and digital health businesses, several of which are long-standing members of the programme, along with a host of new entrants.

Our team will be on hand to provide mentorship and advice to this year’s remarkable line-up of participants throughout the programme. We recognise the importance of the US when it comes to digital health, and we want to be at the forefront alongside the ABHI to help US and UK companies benefit from bilateral trade and the opening of new markets.

The HIC International Accelerator Programme (IAP) has been uniquely designed to provide an efficient route to the NHS for international innovators of healthcare technologies not currently operating in the UK. Our aim is to connect talented healthcare innovators with healthcare providers in the UK who are interested in adopting new technologies to improve care and be at the forefront of digital transformation.
