PCMIS Health Technologies is to collaborate with Dr Julian Medical Group to offer a transformative approach to mental healthcare delivery, supporting improved accessibility and efficiency in mental healthcare provision.

Patient record system, PCMIS now integrates seamlessly with Dr Julian, a mental healthcare platform available on web and mobile devices.

The integration is eliminating manual tasks – the patient referral process now happens through secure digital onboarding. This is helping to reduce administrative workloads and improve patient safety at the same time.

Patients already within the PCMIS system can now access mental healthcare therapies quickly using a user-friendly calendar booking system. Patients can choose between secure video, audio or text appointments.

Byron George, PCMIS co-founder and CEO has hailed the collaborative effort as “an exemplar of industry innovation and partnership” noting the impact it will have on patient care and NHS operating costs.

It is hoped that the automation of some tasks will help streamline processes, not only freeing up staff time but also supporting smoother operations. This helps make time savings for healthcare providers and translates into tangible cost savings too.

The collaboration will also help support informed decision-making and personalised care, as clinicians can access clinical questionnaire responses, such as PHQ-9 and GAD7, directly within the PCMIS patient record.

Additionally, the secure data flow between systems will ensure up-to-date patient records.

Dr Julian Nesbitt, founder, Dr Julian, said: “Interoperability is no longer a nice-to-have but an essential component of the NHS’ Digitisation agenda.

“We are thrilled to have achieved such a seamless integration with PCMIS, which will not only save administrative time and reduce risk but also enable us to reach many more patients struggling with their mental health.”

Dr Julian, tele and virtual health solutions for mental health providers, was a Digital Health Rewired Pitchfest finalist in 2023 in the scale-up category.
