Spok Launches Clinical Communication Platform Powered by AWS

Spok, Inc., a healthcare communications company, is showcasing the latest evolution of its integrated healthcare communication platform this week at HIMSS19 in Orlando.

The solution, Spok Care Connect, is a cloud-native enterprise communication platform that includes a fully integrated healthcare contact center, clinical alerting and alarm management solution, and a multi-device application for care team messaging. “Spok Care Connect makes care collaboration easier by connecting important care team and patient information into messaging and alerting applications,” company officials noted.

Automating clinical workflows is Spok has set out to do. Hospital teams will be able to adapt a comprehensive list of pre-defined workflow templates, deciding what information to pull from clinical systems and the right person or group to receive it. This approach will streamline communication and let clinicians focus on what they do best—taking care of patients, officials attest.

The company has collaborated with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to power the platform, which can be seen at Spok’s Booth (#3371) at the HIMSS conference this week.

“Our experience supporting more than 1,900 hospitals across the U.S. has helped us create a solution that positions healthcare providers for success today and supports them with faster, smarter clinical communications for the next decade,” said Hemant Goel, president of Spok, Inc.
