Dexcom takes G6 CGM to Singapore

Global CGM device maker Dexcom has launched its latest CGM system in Singapore.

Distributed through its partner DKSH Singapore, the prick-less Dexcom G6 CGM uses a wearable sensor and transmitter to continuously measure and send glucose levels wirelessly to a compatible smart device.

It pairs with a companion mobile app on iOS and Android devices, enabling the sharing of glucose data with up to ten people, including families and healthcare teams.

The launch of the Dexcom G6 comes after it obtained approval from the Health Sciences Authority late last year and the recent opening of the Dexcom regional headquarter in the country.

Molbio takes majority stake in digital x-ray maker Prognosys

Indian medical device unicorn company Molbio Diagnostics has acquired a 70% stake in Prognosys Medical Systems.

Prognosys develops radiology and fluoroscopy solutions under the Prorad brand. It has recently introduced a line of digital x-ray units that offers high-quality chest imaging powered by AI.

Its combination with Molbio's Truenat testing kit will enhance the diagnosis of deadly communicable and non-communicable diseases such as tuberculosis, COVID-19, and other chest-related conditions in large populations, according to Molbio. Truenat is a WHO-endorsed point-of-care PCR platform that can screen over 40 diseases within an hour.
