This morning integrated EHR platform MedHost announced that Ken Misch will serve as its next president, in addition to his current role as CFO. In this position Misch will oversee innovation projects and the growth of the company’s hosted, managed and cloud-based platforms.

Before joining MedHost in 2013, Misch served as CFO and CIO at Dyna Vox.

“Ken’s leadership and commitment to our customers and associates demonstrate his capability in continually delivering success for both,” Bill Anderson, chairman and CEO at MedHost, said in a statement. “With his expanded operational responsibilities, we’re excited to leverage his expertise and insight as we continue to grow our capabilities and the number of hospitals we support.”

Remote patient monitoring company LindaCare tapped Dr. Bruce Wilkoff and Dr. Charles Love to join its advisory board. The pair will serve as senior physician consultants for the tech company.

Wilkoff is currently the director of cardiac pacing and tachyarrhythia devices as well as a professor of medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and Case Western Reserve University.

Like Wilkoff, Love also teaches, serving as a professor of medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He also serves as the director of cardiac rhythm device services there.

“LindaCare software and services address unmet clinical needs in remote patient monitoring. Partnering with world renowned experts like Drs Love and Wilkoff will accelerate and improve both our product development and customer care,” LindaCare CEO and founder, Shahram Sharif, said in a statement.

Telehealth company MDLive named Mindy Heintskill as the new chief marketing officer. She is coming to MDLIve from Walgreens, where she served as group VP. Her responsibilities include organizing marketing campaigns and engaging the payer, employer and health system clients.

“With over 32 million members and telehealth going mainstream, we have a better opportunity than ever to help our clients engage their consumers proactively and predictively in their health management and care,” Rich Berner, CEO of MDLive, said in a statement. “Mindy brings the marketing leadership expertise that will help us to further increase consumer engagement and accelerate utilization as we focus on delivering the highest quality, cost-effective care to consumers on their terms.”

Late last month OptimizeRx Crop, a software company focused on pharma-provider digital health messaging, named Stephen Silvestro as the first CCO. In this role he’ll oversee platform revenue growth. Silvestro comes from CCH Tagetik, a division of Wolter Kluwer, where he served as a VP and general manager.

“We are thrilled to welcome Steve to the team, as he brings important experience, depth of knowledge and a shared determination to provide affordability and adherence solutions that link the health care and life sciences industries,” Will Febbo, CEO at OptimizeRx, said in a statement. “During his tenure at Decision Resources Group, he was an instrumental leader in the growth of the company from $30 million to $180 million in revenue. His customer-first philosophy is greatly aligned to our values at OptimizeRx.”

Matt Miller, angel investor and entrepreneur, was named the new managing director for The UnitedHealthcare Accelerator Powered by Techstars. Prior to this role he worked at Perk Health, Johnson & Johnson and StayWell. He has a PhD in health behavior and interventions.
