Text-based primary care platform 98point6 will be providing 24-7 access to Arizona-based health plan Banner|Aetna’s members thanks to a new deal between the two groups. The deployment will begin handling consultations, assessments, prescriptions and lab test orders in July of this year.

“With 98point6, we are pioneering a new approach to primary care that will further differentiate Banner|Aetna in the market,” Tom Grote, CEO of Banner|Aetna, said in a statement. “We are committed to delivering convenience and affordability to our members, and our new virtual primary care offering accomplishes both. Our members will now be able to connect with board-certified physicians on their mobile device when and where they need it, increasing access to quality primary care.”

A new partnership between physician house call platform Heal and senior care provider 24 Hour Home Care will allow the latter to schedule Heal appointments for Los Angeles area seniors. While these seniors will also have the option to book appointments themselves through the Health app or website, the collaboration’s goal is to provide prompt home visits to those who may not be comfortable using the technology.

“With Heal, these individuals no longer have to be displaced by going to see their doctor in a medical office, as our highly-skilled doctors will come to them in the comfort of their own home,” Dr. Renee Dua, cofounder and chief medical officer of Heal, said in a statement. “Unfortunately, we know that for many seniors, before this partnership, the choice wasn’t between a house call or an office visit, but rather a house call or not seeing a doctor at all. We’re closing the loop between the patient and their family, and the home health worker, through world-class care delivered by Heal doctors.”

Clinc’s voice-based language transcription product will be integrated within Medical Memory’s patient engagement app, according to a recent announcement. With this, patients using the app will be able to review a text-based recount of their appointments and post-visit instructions alongside the video recording normally offered by Medical Memory’s tool.

"Medical Memory has been so impactful for patients and their families, and by adding Clinc’s Intelligent Transcription technology we will create an even better healthcare experience,” Kevin Gadawski, CEO of Medical Memory, said in a statement. “On the provider’s end, it helps mitigate liability concerns and saves time and money as many patients who would normally call for clarification on treatment will now have all of the most important information at their fingertips.”

Atlanta-based senior living community Lenbrook will be adopting K4Communities’ K4Connect platform, allowing the group to better monitor the health and wellness of its residents, according to a recent release. The multiphase rollout of the technology will also allow residents to access information about their community’s services and events, as well as to more easily connect with family members, staff or peers.

“The purpose of bringing this technology to Lenbrook is to provide a platform to support more healthy, independent, and engaged lives for our residents,” Dan Dornblaser, VP of finance, CFO and IT Leader, said in a statement. “At Lenbrook, we look for every opportunity to help our residents enjoy life to the fullest, creating connections among the community, and providing timely and accurate information.”

Digital obstetrics platform Babyscripts has entered a strategic partnership with AmeriHealth Caritas DC, in which Babyscripts’ product will be provided to all of the managed care organization’s patients receiving care at Washington DC partner sites. The deployment will educate and support women throughout their pregnancy while coordinating their care with providers in the plan.

“With this new collaboration, we’re doing something that’s never been tried in the industry before,” Juan Pablo Segura, cofounder and president of Babyscripts, said in a statement. “We’re leveraging the expertise of all the stakeholders in this space to impact real change on the maternal outcomes in this city and make sure that the Medicaid population is getting the care it deserves.”

RapidSOS is expanding its reach yet again with a new partnership with MedicAlert Foundation. Moving forward, dispatchers and first responders serving vulnerable populations will receive improved access to the groups’ members during emergency calls.

"The Emergency profiles of our members include critical health and identification information that can make all the difference during an emergency. Our partnership with RapidSOS will put MedicAlert member data directly in the hands of 911 telecommunicators and first responders during the critical moments of emergency response," Josefina Jervis, president and COO of MedicAlert, said in a statement. "MedicAlert pioneered the concept of medical identification over 60 years ago and our ability to ensure our members are protected in their moments of need remains our north star. This is why we are excited to partner with RapidSOS on a solution that will transform outcomes for millions of Americans facing emergencies every day."
