Sonde Health adds new sales leads in U.S., India; ATA names Joe Kvedar next chair of board; and other digital health hires

Also, Healthily adds to its clinical advisory board and Aktana names new CTO.

Digital biomarker company Sonde Health has named two new sales leads. In the U.S., Jim Bradley, who previously worked for MAMSI and Kaiser Permanente, will be joining the team as VP of National Sales. Meanwhile, Simran Kaur, who has worked a Medibuddy SRL Diagnostics and Reliance Communications, will serve as the VP of National Sales India.

U.K.-based self-care platform Healthily named three new hires to its clinical advisory board. The first is Dr. Patricia Schartau, a London-based primary care provider who also lectures. Next is Dr. Vishal Gulati, who currently serves as the head of health tech investments at Draper Espirit. Julia Cawthorne, a clinical safety officer at Safehand Consulting Limited, is rounding out the list.

“Over the last year we have seen a huge acceleration in user growth, and we are delighted that our platform continues to attract the best talent to help expand our vision to help a billion people find their health through clinical grade information and technology,” CEO Matteo Berlucchi said in a statement.


The American Medical Association tapped three new directors and also named its current president, Dr. Joseph Kvedar, as the next chair of the board of directors. The ATA’s CEO Ann Mond Johnson will now serve as a member of the board and its executive committees.

Additionally, Dr. Sree Chaguturu will be joining the board of directors. He currently serves as the chief medical officer for CVS Caremark. He's also a practicing physician at Massachusetts General Hospital and an instructor at Harvard Medical School.

Also joining the board is Kristi Henderson, a nurse practitioner by training who currently serves as the senior vice president of telehealth and innovation at Optum Health. She also has experience working with big tech, leading clinical operations for Amazon Care. Board members are expected to serve a three-year term.


Aktana, an AI-enabled engagement tool for the life sciences space, named Dmitri Daveynis as it next chief technology officer. In this role he will led the tech strategy, product development and cloud operations for the company. He comes from Verint, where he served as the vice president of engineering.

The company also named Manny Triggiano as the next SVP of professional services. In this role, he will handle client satisfaction, employee engagement and operation efficiencies. Triggiano comes from Theorem, where he served as COO.
