Yale University School of Medicine and digital health company Sharecare have signed a licensing agreement to develop new online tools for the former’s physician assistant students. The program will be specifically developed to meet the online format. The tools will include mini-lectures, interactive quizzes and a virtual lab to supplement the cadaver labs. Yale will be using this partnership to study the effectiveness of online programs.

“Our new licensing agreement with Yale aligns perfectly with Sharecare's mission to help each person build a longer, better life by enabling health transformation at the individual, organizational and community level,”  Laura Klein, president of consumer solutions at Sharecare, said in a statement. “By enhancing Yale School of Medicine's PA Online curriculum with Sharecare's cutting-edge medical education tools, we are empowering a new generation of practitioners to deliver better care to their patients, which we hope will positively impact the health of populations for generations to come.”

On Tuesday BetterPT, a digital health company focused on physical therapy, announced a partnership with BlueJay Mobile Health, an AI powered telehealth service, to connect its patients and clincians. As part of the deal BetterPT will connect patients with practioners and BlueJay Mobile Health will provide online patient engagement and care, according to a statement.

“This important and first-of-its-kind partnership between BetterPT and BlueJay Mobile Health brings together two innovative companies that are committed to transforming and improving healthcare experiences for patients across the full continuum of care,” Greg Peters, CEO of BetterPT, said in a statemtn. “As the first AI-powered telehealth company with a focus on rehabilitation care, BlueJay Mobile Health is a natural extension to BetterPT’s interoperable and streamlined point of entry for patients and providers, and strengthens our position as the leading specialized PT marketplace in the U.S.”

MDLive will be the virtual healthcare provider for Missouri-based CoxHealth, the companies recently announced. MDLive’s platform will be integrated into the health system’s EHRs and physician workflows, allowing clinicians to streamline virtual care for their patients.

"CoxHealth’s partnership with MDLive aligns with our mission to improve the healthcare of our community by delivering the most comprehensive and highest quality care to our patients on their terms,” Dr. Louis Krenn, medical director of Ambulatory Clinical Practice Efficiency at CoxHealth, said in a statement. “We chose MDLive based on their track record of driving world-class consumer and clinician experience, as well as their ability to seamlessly integrate their platform within our EHRs.”

Students enrolled in Dresden International University’s Master’s Program in Clinical Research will soon have access to part of Clinerion’s real world evidence (RWE) platform, thanks to a new agreement between the company and the school. The de-identified hospital data will be part of a new lecture on the generation of evidence from this type of real world data (RWD), and is set to begin in August of this year.

“We elected to partner with Clinerion because they are at the cutting edge of the use of RWD for clinical research,” Dr. Ben Illigens, the course’s director, said in a statement. “Clinerion data is secure, transparent, scalable and international and therefore a perfect fit for our program and for our students’ needs. In the same way that traditional drug development can be accelerated by the availability of RWE obtained from RWD, the success of this Master’s program will be accelerated by the possibility to access Clinerion RWD. We are looking forward to presenting the results of this novel collaboration.”

InTouch Health’s telemedicine platform is coming to Rite Aid’s pharmacies via health kiosks owned by the latter, the companies announced earlier this month. These kiosks are set to be placed in “alternative care sites within communities,” as well as within Rite Aid retail locations.

“Rite Aid has long believed in telehealth as an opportunity to improve the level of care we can offer our patients,” Jocelyn Konrad, EVP of pharmacy at Rite Aid, said in a statement. “We are excited to be working with InTouch, a well-established telehealth company, to create a solution that will potentially help us provide our patients and communities with access to quality, convenient healthcare.”
