Winston-Salem, North Carolina-based healthcare provider Novant Health is partnering with Pennsylvania-based behavioral health company NeuroFlow to provide extended mental health services to its patients and team members.

NeuroFlow's cloud-based platform allows healthcare providers to track, assess and connect with patients between traditional office visits. The company also offers AI-driven clinical decision support with individualized recommendations for next steps for patients, educational content, mood and sleep logs, journaling capabilities, and wellbeing screenings.

Through the partnership, Novant patients 13 years or older with depression will have access to NeuroFlow's mental health resources and support around the clock. Novant's team members will also be able to access NeuroFlow's offerings for self-care management.

"Our partnership with NeuroFlow gives patients grappling with mental and behavioral health needs continuous access to a digital toolbox, and – most importantly – they can be monitored by a Novant Health physician who can provide additional support and intervention," Dr. Ashley Perrott, senior physician executive for Novant Health’s Community Health and Wellness Institute, said in a statement.

THE LARGER TREND

NeuroFlow scored $7.5 million in Series A funding in 2019 and $20 million in Series B in 2021. Last year, the company secured a $25 million investment

In February, the company was one of ten digital care companies to win the Veterans Affairs' Mission Daybreak Grand Challenge, which is part of a 10-year strategy to end veteran suicide through a comprehensive public health approach.

In May, the company announced a partnership with Georgia-based Emory Healthcare to scale the healthcare system's collaborative care model to increase access to behavioral health services and pilot a primary care suicide prevention program.

NeuroFlow also partnered with New Jersey-based Atlantic Health System to advance a collaborative care model for adult behavioral health patients at 16 accountable care organization (ACO) sites.

In December, Novant Health announced it was partnering with Movano Health to beta test the "functionality and wearability" of its smart rings with 30 of the health system's employees.
