Imaging AI startup Ezra Health announced a partnership with diagnostic-imaging company RAYUS Radiology, bringing Ezra’s imaging services to 150 RAYUS locations across the U.S.

Ezra Health offers full body MRI scans that utilize AI to monitor for 500+ conditions in 13 organs.

Ezra Flash, its offering that gained FDA approval last year, uses image processing software to make MRI scans more efficient and enhance imaging quality.

"More than 1.9 million people will be diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. in 2024, according to the American Cancer Society, and half of them will be diagnosed late. Cancer is most curable when detected early, and our mission at Ezra is to detect cancer early for everyone in the world.  I’m incredibly excited to be working with RAYUS on making Ezra available to more people in the U.S., and look forward to saving lives together," Emi Gal, founder and CEO of Ezra, said in a statement.

THE LARGER TREND

The New York imaging startup locked down $4 million in seed funding in 2018. Accomplice led the seed-funding round, with additional investment from Founders Future, Seedcamp, Esther Dyson and Credo Ventures. The company used the cash to ready its MRI-scanning product for FDA approval. Ezra gained FDA clearance for its prostate-focused tool  in 2020, which supports the diagnosis and measurement of the prostate and prostate lesions.

In 2021, Ezra announced the launch of an AI-enabled solution named Ezra Reporter that converts radiology reports into easy to read reports using AI.

RAYUS Radiology, based out of Minnesota, acquired Florida-based Diagnostic Centers of America in 2021. The acquisition grew the company to 148 diagnostic centers across the country.

In 2022, RAYUS partnered with Fujifilm to bring the latter's Synapse Enterprise Information System to RAYUS locations. Synapse is a radiology-specific solution that provides administrative dashboards and patient-engagement tools.
