Digital chronic-condition management company Lark Health announced the appointment of Darren Eckberg as its new chief growth officer, who will lead the expansion of the company's AI-enabled GLP-1 cost-containment technology.

The company offers health plans and employers technology aimed at reducing the costs associated with GLP-1s, including virtual coaching for weight management and medication adherence and provider-facing tools like insurance navigation and prior authorization obtainment.

Eckberg previously held executive roles at EnvisionRx/Rite Aid, Express Scripts, Prime Therapeutics and IngenioRx/Anthem

"I'm honored to be joining the Lark team and am thrilled to help millions of Americans struggling with a chronic condition. As one of the pioneers in AI health tech, Lark's spirit for innovation is complemented by a dedication to clinical excellence and being a responsible partner for our clients. The impacts of GLP-1 medications affect the entire healthcare system and a thoughtfully designed end-to-end offering can benefit everyone from the individual member struggling with obesity to the employer struggling with the skyrocketing GLP-1 costs," Eckberg said in a statement.

Parsley Health, a hybrid care provider for patients with chronic conditions, announced that Chris Ricaurte will be the company's new co-CEO, alongside founder and co-CEO Dr. Robin Berzin.

Ricaurte previously served as chief financial officer at Walgreens' tech-enabled value-based care provider VillageMD and chief operating officer of virtual primary care provider Village Medical.

He has also held leadership roles at chip-maker Applied Materials, General Electric, revenue cycle-management company R1 and Canadian telecommunications company and data-networking-equipment manufacturer Nortel Networks.

"We are delighted to welcome Chris Ricaurte as co-CEO of Parsley Health," Dr. Berzin said in a statement. "His impressive track record of financial stewardship and strategic leadership in the healthcare industry make him an invaluable addition to our team. Research shows that the co-CEO structure increases fiscal success and improves the agility needed for sustainable growth. Together, we will continue to innovate and expand Parsley’s mission of providing comprehensive and accessible care to those who need it most.

New Jersey-based virtual psychiatry and therapy platform Array Behavioral Care announced it hired Christy Kisner as its new chief operating officer and Patrick Williamson as its chief information officer.

Kisner will work with the company's chief medical officer, Dr. Sara Gotheridge, on growing its national service delivery capabilities, while Williamson will oversee its technology strategy, including its systems, security and networking.

Kisner previously held the position of president of intraoperative neuromonitoring company SpecialtyCare's neuroservices service line.

Williamson was vice president of client operations at managed cloud-services platform Netgain Technology and oversaw IT strategy at teleradiology-company vRad, and at women's and children's care company MEDNAX.

"Array sets a high standard for clinical excellence, and we're always striving to improve our patient and clinician experience through technological and operational innovation," Shannon Werb, CEO of Array Behavioral Care, said in a statement.

"With Christy and Patrick, we'll be able to make hiring and onboarding new clinicians even more seamless while continuing to deliver quality care to patients wherever they are, including hospitals, homes, or community-based settings."
