The Society for Education and the Advancement of Research in Connected Health will hold its SEARCH 2018 symposium at the Roth Auditorium at the Sanford Consortium for Regenerative Medicine in La Jolla (San Diego) on October 24-25.

Abstracts are being accepted until midnight (12 AM CST) on June 20 July 20th!. Presenters will be notified by August 3.

Focus Areas include:

  • Evidence-based research, which proves the benefits of connected health systems
    (telemedicine, telehealth, eHealth, mHealth, etc.)
  • Identifying quality initiatives and telehealth measures
  • Developing telehealth training programs and education

» A particular interest for 2018 is acute and chronic care as it involves connected health for seniors in the emergency department, home, and community.

SEARCH started in 2016 as a small team of academics, researchers, and clinical professionals who met to discuss the need for a society of connected health researchers – free from commercial bias – to prove (or disprove) the benefits of telemedicine. That discussion has evolved into an annual meeting of open dialogue that revolves around telemedicine research, findings, and national priorities. The Society’s goal is to share findings and foster research collaborations among researchers and organizations who wish to define and develop the field of connected health research.

The 2018 symposium is supported by SEARCH, West Health Institute, and the National Consortium of Telehealth Resource Centers. Space is limited.
