Doctor. One focuses on developing a continuous care platform that connects patients with their regular practitioners on a daily basis, and is a mobile-first approach.

WHY IT MATTERS

The aim of the virtual Doctor. One platform is the daily exchange and personal care of patients by doctors they trust. Doctors can subscribe to the service and better accompany their patients through the illness and recovery process by daily digital check-ups and visits.

The virtual clinic allows them to reply to messages from their regular patients, check their treatment progress, or offer a video-consultation. If necessary, they can ask patients to visit their practice or pay them a home visit.

THE LARGER TREND

The vision of Doctor. One’s founders is to offer trust and interpersonal care, while helping to tackle the shortage of medical professionals.

Currently, 40 doctors in Poland are working with the innovative platform which aims to recruit 10,000 doctors across Europe by 2025.

In January this year, MobiHealthNews reported on another telemedicine solution from Poland dedicated to triaging patients and directing them to appropriate care.

ON THE RECORD

Tomasz Rudolf, CEO of Doctor. One, commented on the investment announcement: “We have designed a new continuous care model for the 21st century, built around a trusted doctor-patient relationship. The future of care cannot be limited to AI – automated and dehumanized. We need to balance technology innovations with human intimacy.”

His co-founder and COO of Doctor. One, Maciej Malenda, added: “Thanks to our solution, doctors can offer their patients a completely new standard of care, without compromising work-life-balance.”
