Maybe it’s that time of year as we lead into the busy HIMSS and ViVE health IT conferences that are just around the corner, but there have been a number of interesting health IT awards programs given and announced. Here’s a look at a few of them that caught my eye.

Congrats to all the DirectTrust Interoperability Heroes that were recognized! The team at DirectTrust do an excellent job highlighting the people working at the frontlines of healthcare interoperability. Plus, it’s more than just a name, but they do a good job highlighting what those people have actually done to push interoperability forward. Check out what I mean in their announcement. Lest you think they’re just highlighting DirectTrust members, the list is quite balanced across many areas of healthcare interoperability.
Far too often those toiling on things like healthcare standards and interoperability do so in obscurity. I applaud this effort to recognize many of those people. Standards and interoperability in healthcare is hard, complicated work. Check out this video to learn more about the Interoperability Heroes initiative.

Most of you are likely familiar with the Best in KLAS awards. This year, they’ve broken it out into Best in KLAS and a Global Best in KLAS. It’s amazing to me how many categories KLAS now ranks and it’s hard work for them to call all the customers to do the rankings. No ranking system is perfect, but KLAS has done a pretty good job with the breadth of categories and options out there.
Interesting Healthiverse Heroes Awards by @DrFirst https://t.co/xMedoYu7QF Nominations are open for “healthcare organizations that are breaking through information silos that get in the way of clinical collaboration and patient care.” #HITsm

This is a new award for me. Maybe DrFirst has done the Healthiverse Heroes Award before and I missed it, but it’s cool that they’re looking to honor healthcare organizations that are breaking through information silos. That’s hard work and worthy of recognition. It’s great that they’re planning to have categories across every healthcare delivery organization type and technology vendors. Nominations are now open.
We are thrilled to announce that the 2022 @Medigy1 #HITMCAwards are back!
This is your chance to recognize the hard work of your team, your client, or an organization that you have admired from afar.

For those not familiar with the HITMC Awards, it’s an award we put together to recognize all of the great healthcare marketing professionals out there. If you have a great marketing effort or know a great healthcare marketing or PR professional that deserves recognition for their hard work and creativity, then nominations are now open. Plus, those marketing professionals that win will be recognized at the Healthcare and IT Marketing Conference happening in-person in May 2022.
