The Director of EHR Systems Operations oversees the development, implementation, monitoring, maintenance, and training of our electronic health record system, Netsmart myEvolv, and associated applications. This position is responsible for project management, overall system health, researching new product developments within and in conjunction with Netsmart myEvolv, and providing leadership and guidance to a team of talented individuals. This position works closely with executive and program management to meet agency needs, discuss advancement opportunities within the EHR system, and to obtain feedback on EHR system design, functionality, and stability. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, have a good understanding of the Human Services field, have experience working within an EHR or EMR system, and be able to provide positive leadership to team members.

SCHEDULE: Exempt
Full Time
Eligible for hybrid remote working schedule
Regular hours 9 am-5 pm
Travel to other agency locations may be required

FUNCTIONS:
Oversee EHR implementation operations in order to assure deadlines are met, program staff are trained, account creations/revisions/closings are completed, program materials are updated, revised, and added to the system in a timely manner, and that the EHR system is running smoothly and efficiently
Supervise and direct the NetSmart team which is responsible for design, development, implementation, and monitoring of the EHR, account creation, access, and security of the EHR, as well as the training and support of all agency staff
Provide the NetSmart team staff with guidance, insight, leadership, and support, and foster team cohesiveness
Manage and oversee project creation, time management, deadlines, project completion, and issue-resolution in order to successfully implement agency programs, system updates, new functionality, etc.
Keep up to date with technological advancements and new functionality
Work closely with executive and program management in order to understand program and staff needs and support those needs through application design
Develop and deploy implementation/revision plans and educate leadership and program staff about the system
Facilitate feedback loop meetings, interpret information collected, and delegate necessary changes needed to NetSmart team staff members for completion

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree in an Information Systems or Computer Science related field OR a Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services related field
2+ years experience using NetSmart myEvolv or other EHR or EMR system
Strong understanding of EHR system design, development, and implementation
Experience with applications within Behavioral Health or Child Welfare a plus
Experience with system implementation
Excellent project management skills, including managing multiple projects at once
Excellent written, verbal, and technical communication skills
Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent time management skills
Excellent leadership skills including coaching, delegation, and supervision
Highly adaptable to changing situations
NYS Driver’s License required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Word processing: Including responding to emails, composing letters, completing computerized documentation, transcribing minutes for meetings, etc.: This involves sitting at a computer for a minimum of 5 hours and could be up to 7 hours a day depending on program needs
Lifting of Agency file books – weighing approximately 6-8 lbs. each – 5 inch binders
Completing paperwork -Such as copying, stapling
Answering phones, processing mail, filing, lifting packages
Walking up/down stairs
