Becoming a member of the Briljent team:

Briljent is looking for a Data Solutions Architect within our HIT Team to support our growing business. Our successes have allowed us to expand into the HIT market and we need a strong individual to help us continue to grow. We work in the field of technology, but do not offer technology products. Our HIT Team provides professional consulting services to help clients fund, plan, and implement technology initiatives. The candidate will be responsible for the analysis, design, and development of Health Information Technology (HIT) solutions. Will perform detailed HIT (software, hardware, data) analysis, documentation, and modeling and be the key source of technical knowledge for HIT projects. Has the ability to evaluate a moderately complex system and understand the inter-dependencies between hardware, software, and data, provide guidance/training to others as staff lead teams of individuals in a matrix organization and perform a variety of concurrent activities. The candidate will need to be able to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively about moderately complex and/or technical topics and effectively with others including stakeholders and project teams.

Duties:

  • Participation in proposing new HIT architectures and solutions to improve and enhance existing architectures.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) on HIT standards for technology and data.
  • Demonstrate and provide a thorough understanding of HIT data interoperability, including between State (Medicaid, Public Health, etc.) and private (HIE, providers, payers) systems and data.
  • Participate in national workgroups and initiatives to thoroughly understand and demonstrate adherence to national HIT standards for technology and data for projects, customers, and partners.
  • Perform system analysis, design, implementation, and documentation for various projects.

Requirements

 Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum five (5) years related experience including demonstrated proficiency in at least one of the following; Health Information Technology, Enterprise Data Architecture, Information Architecture, Data Modeling, Data Warehousing, or Component-based architecture
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in IT Project Leadership or Technical Lead for complex, high risk, high visibility IT projects.
  • Five+ years of experience designing highly complex and multi-faceted application architectures, including enterprise-wide API programs, integration strategies, mobile, and cloud application strategies, and overseeing application development teams.

Required Skills:

  • Understanding of all aspects of the software life cycle from specification through analysis and design, to testing and maintenance as well as product evaluation. Able to leverage Agile, waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies.
  • Demonstrated strong process knowledge.
  • Demonstrated superior knowledge of industry-standard business and technology best practices, tools, and methodologies including HL7 FHIR and USCDI
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a cross-functional team in the application of newly structured development process – concept, execution, implementation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in requirements engineering, software architecture, software testing, and software deployment including understanding how the software interacts with the technical architecture.
  • Knowledge/experience in large scale system design and implementation, including technical assessments of new business models
  • Experience developing, recommending, and maintaining technology policies, standards, and best practices for an organization, including facilitation with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in writing technical user documentation and presenting to a diverse audience.
  • Ability to work within timelines and budget
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at once
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Preferred knowledge in the following:

          o  ADTs

          o  C-CDAs

          o  RESTful Web Service

          o  X12 EDI
