HIMSS Schedule of Events

Our team is extremely excited to be attending the 2022 HIMSS Global Health Conference & Exhibition taking place March 14-18th in Orlando, Florida.  Be sure to follow all of our coverage of ViVE 2022 and HIMSS 2022.

We’ve had many folks from the community ask us where we will be during the conference and who we are speaking with, so we decided to put together a schedule of where you can find us!  We welcome you to stop by one of our special events where you can join in on the discussion and connect with others in the Healthcare IT Today community.  Plus, this year Healthcare IT Today will be setup at Booth #4983 where you can watch our live interview recordings.

Feel free to drop by to say hello or come by for a quick chat. We would love to see you!

The shift to work-from home and COVID disruptions forced a range of industries to deploy next-gen technologies at an accelerated rate without a commensurate increase in spending. Healthcare organizations were on the frontline of these developments and had to adapt rapidly to deal with the medical emergency effectively and efficiently. Join us as we discuss the pivot to IT-on-demand solutions as healthcare searches for flexibility, less upfront CapEx costs, faster deployment, and increased uptime. 10:00 – 10:45am – Dell Technologies – Managing Healthcare Cyber Threats and Protecting Patient Data at the Edge Meetup
Location: Dell Technologies Booth #2000
It’s impossible to put a value on the trust your patients place in your organization to protect and safely store the data created in the course of caring for the community. Hospitals and health systems have more to lose than organizations in other sectors when it comes to the impact of hacking activities and patient data is highly sought after. As a result, the healthcare industry is hit significantly harder by ransomware than any other sector — 88 percent of attacks hit hospitals. Combined with the dramatic shift to a more mobile healthcare workforce and the advent of 5G, an ever-increasing number of applications will traverse the core, edge, and cloud. One way to deal with this constant cybersecurity threat, is to invest in intrinsically secure infrastructure platforms and devices that enable healthcare organizations to generate, process and securely store vast amounts of data – whether stored on-premises, in the cloud, or with a hybrid strategy. Join us as we discuss this continuously expanding attack surface and the challenges it poses for an organization’s security posture.
