For the 19th episode of the CIO podcast hosted by Healthcare IT Today, we sat down with Jimmy Weeks, IT Strategist at Thomas Jefferson Health and a former CIO at the CHIME 2021 Fall Forum event. This was our first CIO podcast episode to be recorded live on site with someone as opposed to on Zoom. It was fun to be together with all the CIOs that made it to the CHIME Fall Forum.
While Jimmy Weeks decided to “retire” from his position as CIO at Yale New Haven Health back in 2019, you’ll hear on this episode how that retirement was short lived. It’s pretty incredible that Weeks started his career in healthcare back in 1969. Needless to say, a few things have changed since then. In this episode we try to capture some of that evolution and talk about the challenge that CIOs face today. Plus, Weeks shares about the most exciting project he worked on and what made it special.
