Patient Focused Features from Online Scheduling to Chatbots

In this video, Richard Eells, Vice President of Operations Administration at United Digestive, shares how his organization uses the healow suite of apps to handle appointments and other logistical support for multiple providers.

healow is a service provided by eClinicalWorks that really changes how a medical practice can change the experience for its patients at scale. Plus, Eells highlights how the service was critical during the COVID-19 shutdown, allowing United Digestive to be among the first call centers to allow remote work.

Other services enabled by healow include online scheduling, appointment reminders that are adjusted to each patient, and online check-ins and forms, Eells says that modern patients want to “take charge of how they interact with their office.”  While in the past these features were nice to haves for a medical practice, they are now becoming essential.

One of the exciting new healow features are chatbots, which United Digestive plans to adopt to reduce phone calls and wait hold times.

See the video to learn how healow can be used at a kiosk, and other insights about automation of logistical tasks in healthcare.
