Telstra Health names new CTO

Farhoud Salimi, eHealth NSW executive director of service delivery, is filling up the vacant CTO role at Telstra Health.

He will be assuming the position starting on 17 April, succeeding Russel Duncan who retired by the end of 2022.

"[He] brings a unique set of skills that will enhance our ability to deliver for our customers and continue to build a safe and reliable ecosystem across the Telstra Health group," Telstra Health’s managing director Elizabeth Koff said about his appointment.

Salimi, who has been with eHealth NSW for almost 15 years, had also worked for Coca-Cola Amatil, CNA Insurance and Westpac.

MasterCare launches new discharge summary module

ASX-listed MasterCare has commercially rolled out its latest discharge summary module.

Based on a media release, MasterCare Discharge Summary can collate clinical information and compile a discharge summary for uploading to a patient’s My Health Record for a given inpatient episode of care. It ensures continuity of care by sharing discharge information across the care team, using Global Health’s ReferralNet Secure Message Delivery platform.

Deployed within the MasterCare multi-tenanted SaaS platform hosted on Microsoft Azure, the module also helps adopters ensure compliance with the accreditation and legislative requirements of the Australian Digital Health Agency for hospitals.

MasterCare Discharge Summary is integrated via the MasterCare FHIR Interoperability platform to existing MasterCare PAS customers.

Medi-Map has released a single sign-on feature on its electronic medication management platform in Australia and New Zealand.

According to a media release, Medi-Map users can now do away with having multiple usernames and passwords as the SSO feature allows them to use their organisation login credentials instead.

The SSO feature is now available to all Medi-Map platform users who enable their IDP integration in ANZ.
