Medicaid and CHIP Up By 9.7 Million

Enrollment in Medicaid and CHIP (Children’s ) rose by 9.7 million during the first nine months of 2014, according to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Covered California Extends Enrollment Deadline

Covered California extended until midnight Dec. 21 the deadline for new and renewing consumers to enroll for that will be effective January 1, 2015. The deadline had been Dec. 15, as it is in most other states and for the federal exchange.
