Medtronic Launches 670G – First Hybrid, Closed-Loop System

Medtronic announced in a press release that its 670G insulin pump system is officially hitting the U.S. market. The FDA approved the system for people with Type 1 diabetes ages 14 and older in September 2016. sponsor. The 670G is the first hybrid, closed-loop insulin pump system for sale in the U.S. The pump can automatically adjust basal insulin delivery based on glucose readings, but users will still need to manually bolus with the device.
