The Evolution of Patient Support and Medication Management – #HITsm Chat Topic

We’re excited to share the topic and questions for this week’s #HITsm chat happening Friday, 10/15 at Noon ET (9 AM PT). This week’s chat will be hosted by Omri Shor from @medisafeapp on the topic “The Evolution of Patient Support and Medication Management.”

Digitization in healthcare is changing the look and feel of patient support to assist with managing medication therapies and chronic conditions. Today’s patient support means reaching patients where they are in their treatment journey, delivering guidance, and reinforcement during moments that matter. Traditional patient support of brochures and phone calls no longer break through the noise. Today, we require an omni-channel approach of in-person, virtual, and digital approaches to connect with patients on their terms.

In the digital age, medication management has moved beyond a day-of-the-week pill box to a tech-driven device that is more intuitive, personalized, and accessible to the daily lives of patients. For the 157 million Americans who live with a chronic condition, managing medications is more than just taking a pill. It’s a priority to maintaining good health and the ability to live an active and fulfilling life.  With the combination of digital tools and customized patient support, more patients are finding hope and reassurance throughout their treatment journey.

With more than 7MM patients turning to Medisafe’s digital platform to manage their medications, CEO Omri Shor understands the importance of delivering the right support to patients at the right time, and the impact it has on their lives. In this week’s #HITsm chat, Omri shares his thoughts on the evolution of patient support and how digital medication management is a key to closing gaps in the current healthcare ecosystem.
