Funding and M&A Activity:
- CVS Health agreed to acquire Signify Health, a value-based care digital platform and nationwide network of more than 10,000 providers, for $8 billion. The deal is expected to close in the first half of 2023.
- UAE-based healthcare platform Pure Health acquired a minority equity investment in Ardent Health Services, a Nashville-based health system operating 30 hospitals and more than 200 sites of care in six states, for $500 million.
- Walgreens Boots Alliance completed its acquisition of CareCentrix, a home care solution provider. Walgreens acquired 55% of the company for $330 million.
- EMS software provider ESO acquired Occam Technologies, which operates an enterprise master patient index (EMPI) platform.
- Post-acute care collaboration platform Olio Health raised a $13 million Series A round.
- Acute care telehealth provider SOC Telemed acquired Forefront Telecare, a virtual behavioral health company, and announced a new name for the combined entity: Access TeleCare.
- Medical home virtual care provider Recuro Health acquired Competitive Health, an employer benefits software provider.
- Digital check-in and scheduling software maker Healee raised a $2 million seed round.
- Healthcare revenue cycle and operations consultancy Impact Advisors acquired C2 Healthcare, a business intelligence consultancy.
