I think it is important to celebrate what we have today in Health Information Exchanges. They are not fantastic yet, but they are far better than what we had a handful of years ago. However there is a bright future for the Health Information Exchange too. I want to expand upon the future transition from Manual to Automated, as a trend that is already underway.

As we enter into the annual Thanksgiving break, there is much to be thankful for. Most lists will include giving thanks for family, friends, and employment. And almost 1.5 million people may be adding the continued presence of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) to their lists. At least that appears to be the case based on the first two weeks of the open enrollment period in which nearly 1.5 million people have applied for healthcare insurance </span through Healthcare.gov.
