Practical Applications of Intelligent Automation with Genzeon and Penn State Health

The talk of the town right now is automating processes in healthcare.  It makes sense why this topic is trending given all the workforce and revenue pressures that exist in healthcare.  While there are hundreds of approaches to healthcare automation, one trend that is happening quickly is the move to more intelligent automations.  No doubt we’ve all seen this happening in our personal lives and so it’s great to see intelligent automation coming to healthcare too.

While it’s great to talk about automation, it is another to hear from a CIO who’s living the implementation of intelligent automation in their organization.  That’s why I was excited to sit down with Cletis Earle, CIO at Penn State Health and Penn State University College of Medicine, to hear about his experience implementing intelligent automation from Genzeon.  Plus, Harsh Singh, GM, Healthcare and Prashant Krishnakamur VP, Digital Engineering at Genzeon, joined us to add some color and share their experience with a wide variety of healthcare clients.

Check out our video interview below to learn more about healthcare’s perception and experience with intelligent automation and the role it plays in value creation.  Plus, Earle shares some of the impact intelligent automation has on the workforce and how it requires healthcare leaders to upskill and reskill their team.  Then, he shares some examples of where they are doing intelligent automation today and Krishnakamur shares other areas that Genzeon sees automation happening.

We also ask Harsh about implementing a low code or no code solution and how that type of solution can address some of the HR and workforce challenges that organizations face.  For example, implementing a solution like this means that staff can execute smaller projects that would never rise in enough importance against larger projects.  However, these smaller projects make a meaningful difference in the lives of staff.

Finally, we ask Earle where all of this is heading and what a CIO should know when it comes to intelligent automation.  Check out the interview below to learn more from Cletis Earle and the team at Genzeon.
