We’re excited to share the topic and questions for this week’s #HITsm chat happening Friday, 8/6 at Noon ET (9 AM PT). This week’s chat will be hosted by John Lynn (@techguy) from @hcitoday on the topic “Online Communities.”
One of the things I love in life is creating communities of people that have a common cause or interest. There’s a real power in connecting communities of people that are dealing with the same challenges. You can build relationships that last a lifetime. You can find business partners. You can help to improve the world. You can support each other when a pandemic hits and throws the world in array.
For this week’s #HITsm chat we’re going to dive into online communities. We’re going to learn what makes a good community. We’ll share what we look for in a community and what drives us away. We’ll also talk about some of the negatives of online communities. Plus, I’m interested in knowing whether you’d join a new online community.
Join us for this week’s #HITsm chat where we’ll discuss the following questions and topics.
Topics for this week’s #HITsm Chat:
T1: What are your favorite online communities? What has made them last? What makes them valuable? #HITsm
T2: Have you left any communities? If you left, why did you stop taking part? Why would you stop interacting with an online community? #HITsm
T3: Would you join a new online community or do you feel like the communities available today are enough? What would it take for you to want to join a new community and/or platform? #HITsm
T4: What’s been the impact of trolls and other bad actors on communities? Do you learn to just deal/ignore them or do they cause you to stop engaging? #HITsm
T5: How have online communities bridged you to in-person communities? #HITsm
Bonus: Is there a non-healthcare IT community you engage with? Which ones? #NoJudgement #HITsm
