EY: 63 percent of patients comfortable with tech-enabled health tracking

When it comes to collecting health and wellness data and sharing with physicians, more than half of patients -- and nearly three quarters of doctors -- are comfortable with the prospect, according to a survey conducted this year by EY and announced at HIMSS. The group, formerly known as Ernst & Young, surveyed 2,455 consumers, 152 physicians, and 195 health executives.

I had a short but very satisfying interaction with a developer at HIMSS 2018. They had implemented a pilot project using FHIR. Their use-case was to instrument the DoD systems with a FHIR Server API, and similarly instrument a VA Vista system with a FHIR Client. The goal was to show how providers at the VHA could see the DoD data while using the Vista experience they are familiar with.
