The LG Electronics North American Innovation Center, LG NOVA, selected four digital health companies among the nine finalists for its Mission for the Future global challenge program: Digital care platform Digbi Health, precision medicine company LifeNome, sensor-based diagnostics company Mindset Medical, and virtual treatment and analytics firm XRHealth. The four companies will help support LG’s new Digital Health business unit.
ONC and the Health Resources and Services Administration have launched a joint United States Core Data for Interoperability (USCDI) initiative to support the modernization of HRSA’s Uniform Data System, which is a data set used for annual reporting for facilities funded under the Health Center Program. The effort will align UDS data sets with FHIR standards and transition the UDS data set to existing patient-level reporting requirements with USCDI and other quality reporting efforts.
More than two-thirds of cardiac rehabilitation clinicians are providing virtual care, with 48% using remote care at least have the time and 22% using it all or nearly all of the time, according to a survey from medical sensor maker Vivalink. Though adoption is widespread, respondents said insurance coverage and cost continue to present implementation hurdles.

- Virtual specialty care platform Summus launched Summus Oncology for use by patients with cancer and their families.
- Communication network provider Kno2 intends to apply to become a QHIN under TEFCA.
- Chronic condition management platform juli announced a 55% reduction in the number of people with bipolar disorder experiencing symptoms of mania in an eight-week study.
- Analytics vendor Inovalon achieved NCQA HEDIS Measure Certification for the 22nd consecutive year.

- Managed service provider CloudWave launched OpSus Cloud Services and announced seven healthcare institutions as new customers.
- Digital therapeutics company Orexo will provide treatments for depression and excessive drinking to Trinity Health, which serves residents of 25 largely rural counties in North Dakota and Montana.
- Honeywell signed deals with University Hospital Brno (Czechia) and Narayana Health (India) to provide sensors and other remote monitoring technology.
- Oracle Cerner customer Hawaii Health Systems Corporation (HHSC) – Kauai Region increased average daily revenue 7% and increased payments nearly 62% following implementation of Cerner CommunityWorks.

- 3D printing company Formlabs appointed Guillaume Bailliard as president of the company’s new healthcare division.
