CPSI is well known as an EHR vendor in the rural health and community health market. In recent years, the company has expanded well beyond its roots. Wes Cronkite, Chief Innovation Officer at CPSI stopped by to share more about the company’s push to provide a more “unified” solution for their customers.
Brain Health is on People’s Minds – Linus Health
Linus Health is a digital health company that makes a solution that helps detect the Alzheimer’s and other dementias. John Showalter, MD – Chief Product Officer at Linus Health stopped by and shared the surprising results of their latest survey. The company found that 92% of people want to gain a better understanding of their own brain health and that 75% wanted to know what they could do to improve it. Yet only 25% of respondents had been offered a cognitive test.
Cybersecurity is a Patient Safety Issue – Imprivata
According to Wes Wright, Chief Technology Officer at Imprivata, cybersecurity in healthcare should be considered a patient safety issue since it impacts patient data and patient outcomes when that data is rendered inaccessible. To help all healthcare organizations implement proper cybersecurity measures, Wright suggests that governments consider a funding program like Meaningful Use which accelerated the adoption of EHRs.
Chatbot for Triage – Mediktor
Mediktor is a company that offers an AI chatbot for triage and pre-diagnosis. They are working with several US hospitals that have deployed their solution to better guide patients to the appropriate care service based on their symptoms. Dodson also encouraged health IT leaders to continue to focus on email cybersecurity best practices as it continues to be the top threat vector.
