Thriva registers with CQC
Thriva, the personal health platform, has announced its successful registration with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) allowing it to expand into diagnosis and treatment.
This coincides with the launch of Thriva+, the brand’s new membership offering aimed at longer term health and optimisation.
Thriva is the UK market leader in remote testing, helping over 2 million people across the country to proactively manage their health so they can become healthier, the warning signs of diseases can be spotted and dealt with before people get sick and pressure on stretched NHS services is reduced.
Thriva were a key partner to the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) throughout the pandemic, delivering the national antibody testing programme.
TSC Connected Care acquires Connected Health assets
TSC Connected Care, an innovative digital health solutions company and owner of the Sensium remote patient monitoring platform, today announces the acquisition of all assets from the Connected Health Group.
The acquired assets include the CareXS Digital Health Platform and its service offerings Meddy, Ally, Thelma, and the award-winning Indy, which are amongst others focused on medication management and remote monitoring for infusion therapy outside the hospital.
CareXS Meddy and CareXS Ally are currently used in care delivery for over [21,000] Dutch patients. This strategic acquisition further enhances TSC Connected Care’s ability to connect patients and clinicians over the entire continuum of care, irrespective of location.
TSC Connected Care’s vision to enhance patient care by closely connecting patients and clinicians started with the launch of the Sensium platform.
The platform provides continuous, ambulatory, wireless, vital signs monitoring during an acute episode of care both inside and outside the hospital, allowing for “Acute Care, Anywhere”.
The combination of assets is expected to allow for significant commercial synergies as the CareXS platform can leverage TSC Connected Care’s commercial footprint outside of the Netherlands.
Furthermore, TSC Connected Care can boost its hospital@home profile with access to CareXS’s key customer base that is specialized in the delivery of care outside the hospital.
Ultramed receives a King’s Award
NHS Innovation Accelerator-supported Ultramed has received a King’s Award for Enterprise.
Ultramed, a company working with healthcare professionals to deliver cost and time effective solutions for preoperative and pre-procedural assessments, has been recognised for Innovation in the 2023 King’s Awards for Enterprise.
Dr Paul Upton, who completed the NHS Innovation Accelerator (NIA) programme in 2023, is the CEO and co-founder of Ultramed, one of the 148 national organisations to be royally recognised. The King’s Award programme, now in its 57th year, is the most prestigious business award in the country.
Commenting on the award, Dr Paul Upton said: “In 2020 I was awarded a Fellowship on the NIA programme. For three years I benefited from personal coaching and support alongside business advice, training and mentoring.
“This, with the fantastic network of NIA Fellows, supported Ultramed to flourish, becoming the market leading digital preoperative solution in the UK.”
Each NIA Fellow and their innovation are selected through a robust, multi-stage application and assessment process involving an expert panel of clinical, patient and commercial assessors.
Paul was awarded an NIA Fellowship for his MyPreOp® innovation, which works to reduce unnecessary hospital appointments by facilitating a one-stop, patient-led preoperative assessment.
