- So far in 2023, only 24% of healthcare organizations were able to disrupt a ransomware attack before attackers encrypted their data, according to a Sophos survey. That’s down from 34% last year.
- Although 90% of health systems face turnover rates of greater than 10% for roles in RCM and patient experience, only 25% of executives are looking at AI or workflow improvements to improve efficiency, an Experian Health survey found.
- According to an MGMA poll, 80% of healthcare leaders believe using AI will be an essential skill for succeeding in the medical profession, and another 3% said it’s already an essential skill.
- Meanwhile, more than 60% of medical students believe AI will become an integral part of clinical care and aid in diagnoses, treatments and patient outcomes, according to the recent Clinician of the Future 2023: Education Edition report from Elsevier.
- Nearly nine in 10 (88%) of clinicians recognize the potential of virtual and remote care, according to the EY Global Voices in Healthcare Study.
- The latest Customer Voices report from Authenticx found that more than 20% of patient interactions were impacted by a continuous loop of disruption, with half of those disruptions delaying or preventing patient care.
- Research from Inovalon and Harvard Medical School found that Medicare Advantage has 70% fewer readmissions and 24% fewer preventable hospitalizations than fee-for-service Medicare. Additionally, the company announced that Medicare Advantage plans using Inovalon Converged Quality solution with Managed Services realized an 8% average Star Ratings increase.

- Weave added AI-driven voicemail transcriptions to its customer experience platform. The company also released a customer survey indicating that 75% of providers believe AI will play a prevalent role in care delivery.
- Intiveo launched Intiveo Global Insights, which provides advanced analytics for dental practices.
- The AMA has created a CPT code for Avenda Health’s Unfold AI, which creates 3D maps to helps physicians visualize where cancer is located.
- Lung function wearable devices from Samay diagnosed COPD with 90% accuracy in a recently published study of 110 patients.
