Hal Wolf on HIMSS 2023: “It Feels Like We Are All Back.” In a press briefing, the HIMSS CEO said attendance for this year’s event is 35,000 – less than 2019 but a significant increase from 2021 and 2022. Funding and M&A Activity:
- Medication engagement company Scene Health secured $17.7 million in Series B financing.
- Geospatial data analytics platform HSR.health received funding through the Disasters Pilot 2023, managed by a division of the U.S. Geological Survey, to support continued development of its GeoMD Platform.
- Virtual treatment room XRHealth merged with Amelia Virtual Care, a VR platform for mental health professionals. The new company will retain the name XRHealth.
- Risk-bearing provider enablement platform Vytalize Health acquired Independent Physician Association of New York.
- Olive AI sold its utilization management business unit to Availity, a real-time health information network.
