Studies
- Two-thirds of organizations hit by cyberattacks report disruptions to patient care, according to research from Proofpoint and Ponemon Institute. Half saw an increase in medical procedure complications, 57% experienced delays to procedures and tests, and 23% saw an increase in patient mortality.
- About 75% of Americans don’t trust AI in a healthcare setting, according to a Carta Healthcare survey. That said, 80% would be more comfortable if a provider disclosed they were using AI, and in that case 61% trust their individual providers to use AI properly.
- Data from Withings indicated that people who get more than 10,000 steps per day have a nighttime heart rate nearly 5 beats per minute slower than people who get less than 5,000 steps per day.
- Nearly all (98%) patients with chronic digestive conditions reported improvements after receiving video or phone counseling from registered dieticians, according to a Vivante Health study.
- Nearly half (45%) of Native Americans with Type 2 diabetes believe it’s harder to access high-quality care compared to other races and ethnicities, according to a Podimetrics survey, and 57% are also living with a chronic behavioral health condition.
