HIMSS 2022 Announcements and Solutions

CloudWave
In booth #3633 at HIMSS, CloudWave will be showcasing its recently introduced OpSus Vault Backup as a Service offering, designed to protect a healthcare organization’s valuable data backups by creating a secure, offline, and immutable storage location.

KBR
KBR was awarded a health and human performance data analytics contract to provide knowledge-graph machine learning (ML) as a mechanism to link and visualize disparate data sources. This framework will enable researchers to visualize and integrate assorted data and can be customized for downstream applications including machine learning tasks, hypothesis-driven querying, and a browsable user interface, enabling researchers to explore their data and discover previously known relationships. Using novel ML methods, KBR experts Drs. Bianca Cerqueira and Afshin Beheshti will collaborate with government investigators to apply knowledge graphs to a biomedical use case like the COVID-19 response, however this framework will be applicable to data in any domain. Once this proof of concept for knowledge graphs in a Department of Defense environment has been established, the data enclave can be expanded to include additional sources and knowledge graphs can be created to address further military health questions, such as pilot physiological episodes, prevention of musculoskeletal injuries, enroute care, neuroscience research, fatigue countermeasures, and improving cognitive performance. Philips announced its latest introductions in analytics and interoperability solutions within its Data Management and Interoperability Solutions portfolio – Philips HealthSuite Interoperability and Philips Enterprise Performance Analytics – Performance Bridge. Philips also announced that the latest Philips Capsule Surveillance solution has received 510(k) market clearance from the FDA, paving the way for widespread deployment across healthcare systems in the US.
