Healthcare Conferences – Healthcare IT Today Podcast Episode 17

For the 17th episode of the Healthcare IT Podcast, we’re talking about various healthcare conferences. It’s always a challenge knowing which conferences you should attend. Each conference has its own culture, direction, and attendees. It’s no wonder one of the questions we’re asked the most is “Which conferences should I attend?”

As you’d imagine, the answer to that question is always “It depends.” It really does depend on who you’re trying to meet, what you’re trying to accomplish, etc. That’s why there’s no blanket answer to the rather simple question. We try to help people with our list of health IT conferences which shows the conferences we attend and lists a bunch of the other popular conferences and provides our take on what you can expect at the event.

While that’s useful, in this episode of the Healthcare IT Today podcast we wanted to dig into this topic a little more. Having attended literally hundreds of conferences each, we’ll share ideas we’ve found helpful to understanding the culture of a conference and how to get the most out of it. Also, we’ll address the idea of social media at conferences and how that should fit into your conference game plan.

Here’s a quick rundown of the topics we discuss in this episode:

  • The Culture of Healthcare Conferences
  • Getting the Most from Your Healthcare Conference Experience
  • Is Social Media at Healthcare Conferences Useful?
  • Which Healthcare Conferences?
