Accelerating Healthcare Innovation with DevOps – #HITsm Chat Topic

We’re excited to share the topic and questions for this week’s #HITsm chat happening Friday, 11/1 at Noon ET (9 AM PT). This week’s chat will be hosted by Nichole Gunderson (@nicholeg514) and Ed Keen (@EdKeen5) from @burwoodgroup on the topic “Accelerating Healthcare Innovation with DevOps”.

The concept of DevOps is simple: eliminate the traditional barrier between your development and operations teams to create a single streamlined process for building, testing, and operating applications. In traditionally siloed teams, you might encounter vast differences between the way an application was built vs. expectations for maintaining it. DevOps eliminates this friction with unification.

DevOps is a fast-growing discipline across multiple industries – but what about healthcare? Agile methodology, automated testing, and ongoing improvement are foundational principles in DevOps. This type of process improvement could have great impact in the healthcare organization. Use cases like patient-facing application usage and leveraging data in patient care would benefit greatly from continual evaluation and improvement.

Join us for a discussion about accelerating healthcare innovation with DevOps. Is there potential? What are the challenges? And what use cases stand out? Let’s chat this Friday, November 1 at 12:00 PM ET!
