SCL Health Names Richardville CIO

Former Atrium executive was named 2015 John E. Gall, Jr. CIO of the Year

Craig Richardville, the former senior vice president and chief information and analytics officer at Carolinas HealthCare System (now Atrium Health) has been named CIO at Broomfield, Colo.-based SCL Health.

SCL Health is a faith-based, nonprofit healthcare organization.The $2.6 billion health network provides care through eight hospitals, more than 100 physician clinics, and home health, hospice, mental health and safety-net services primarily in Colorado and Montana.

 After leaving Atrium in 2018, Richardville ran his own consulting firm providing advisory and brokerage services for start-up software and services companies. He was awarded the 2015 John E. Gall, Jr. CIO of the Year by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) and HIMSS in recognition of his leadership in driving digital transformation in healthcare. Under his leadership, Carolinas HealthCare System achieved HIMSS EMR Adoption Model Stage 7 for both Acute and Ambulatory.

Lou Capponi, M.D. chief medical informatics officer, has been serving as interim CIO since June 2018.
