Digital mental health company Ieso has named Kate Woolland as its next corporate development advisor. She is coming to the startup after serving as a partner at the Healthcare Practice at PA Consulting. At Ieso her role will focus on strategic sales, commercial partnerships and senior stakeholder engagement.

“The digital healthcare market is evolving at a rapid pace, and we can see a number of common themes and opportunities that we can and will be leveraging at Ieso. The appointment of Kate Woolland underscores our approach to find the right people with the right skills to drive change, accelerate our development strategy and deliver growth, particularly now we have launched Eight Billion Minds, our digital therapeutics program. We have ambitious goals, and Kate has the right commercial mind-set to help maximise our potential and reach. We are thrilled to welcome Kate onto our team,” Nigel Pitchford, CEO at Ieso Digital Health, said in a statement.

Digital chronic management company Livia has made a handful of new hires this week in their UK and Danish offices. It tapped Mamuna Adam, who previously worked for the NHS, and Mark Vizard, formerly of Intercept IP, as the next co-digital partnership directors. Anna Cummings, a registered nutritionist, will now serve as the coaching and nutrional development manager.

Julie Sainmont, former Novo Nordisk data manager, is coming onboard as data analyst in the Danish office. Also in the Scandanavian office, Ole Jenson will be working as the fortend developer.

“With these new additions to our team, we aim to widen our global presence by maintaining a world class technical program,” Kristoffer From, CEO of Livia Healthcare, said in a statement. "Our focus continues to be about delivering the best outcomes for patients in partnership with private insurance, pharma and public healthcare bodies. We’re confident the expertise that Anna, Julie, Ole, Mark and Mamuna bring to the table will ensure we outdo our goals for the next year."

Californian health tech company Innovaccer has named Mike Sutten as the next chief digital officer. Before joining the team he served as the chief technology officer at Kaiser Permanente. Sutten has also worked in the public sector, working as the chief technology officer and deputy chief information officer at the CIA.

Yarmela Pavlovicwill be joining Manatt, Phelps & Phillips as the next as a partner in its Health and Digital and Technology Groups. An attorney by training, Pavlovic has worked with companies as they go through the FDA clearance and approval process. She has experience working with medical devices and software companies.

“We are continuing to grow our leading platform in the digital health space, and Yarmela’s arrival allows us to double down on our already strong offering,” Lisa Suennen, who runs the Health and Digital and Technology Groups, said in a statement. “Healthcare products and services companies at the intersection of technology and health are facing increasingly complex and rapidly changing regulatory processes, requiring expert counsel to plan and engage with the regulatory bodies that make it possible for high-quality health innovations to come to market. Yarmela’s experience will be a tremendous value-add to our already significant capabilities in the digital realm.”

HealthReveal, a startup that uses remote monitoring and data analytics to help payers and providers make sure patients get the treatments that line up with evidentiary guidelines, has named two new executives. The first, Mina Egan, will serve as chief commercial officer, where she will be responsible for sales in health systems, plans and payer networks. Prior to this position she served as vice president of Clinovations group at Optum.

Ed Leibowitz will be joining the team as chief product officer, where he will be looking at new product strategies and adding new capabilities. He is coming from Becton Dickinson, where he served as global director of the Digital Diabetes Portfolio.

“HealthReveal’s mission is to ensure all people living with chronic disease receive optimal, personalized care. We get there by using technology – and evidence – to level the playing field,” said founder and CEO Lonny Reisman, in a statement. “Mina and Ed bring a tremendous level of expertise in the area of clinical innovation, platform design and application for patients with chronic disease, and their leadership will help us forge new partnerships with some of the largest healthcare stakeholders in the country.”
