It's that time of year again—that time when we prepare to honor a distinguished collection of companies across the U.S. that are trying to change the world by changing the healthcare industry.
In January 2019—our inaugural awards—we had a spectacular group of companies using business acumen and passion to make inroads on the complexities of the U.S. healthcare system.
We recognized companies like CivicaRx, a generic drug company started up by hospitals who were fed up with runaway drug prices and shortages.
We honored groups like Cityblock Health, an organization that has raised more than $20 million to date backing its primary care model aimed at meeting complex health and social needs of low-income individuals. We told you about Cricket Health, a kidney care company that's earned a who's who list of investors including Cigna as well LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner, Joe Montana's Liquid 2 Ventures and Rock Health co-founder Halle Tecco.
