Ascom Australia has tapped Adelaide-based Ikonix Technology to market its range of technology products for healthcare systems, including the Telligence nurse call, teleCARE IP, Real-time Location Systems for asset tracking and staff safety and mobility solutions like the Ascom Myco smart device.

WHY IT MATTERS

Through its latest partnership, Ascom is deepening its presence in South Australia. "Ikonix [is] well known in the industry and have dealt with varied solutions in healthcare, having the right expertise to sell and install our product in a region where we don’t have a direct presence," the company said in an interview with MobiHealthNews.

Ascom is offering solutions that address the digital transformation requirements of their customers at every stage of development. "[H]aving [the] ability to offer configurable and customisable solutions is important as it allows our customers to come on board where they are most comfortable and then be able to grow with us and us to be able to grow with them and present new solutions and find other ways to optimise their performance," it said.

Among products, its Healthcare Platform comprises workflow solutions that are designed to utilise digital clinical information "for the benefit of patients and care teams".

Its partner Ikonix Technology delivers engineering design, development, integration and logistics support of unified communication systems. Among clients it serves are the health departments of South Australia, New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.

THE LARGER TREND

In April last year, Ascom Australia appointed Security Communications Australasia as its channel partner to sell its Ascom Enterprise Platform to retail, hospitality and other industrial sectors.

In other news, Estonia-based digital therapeutics company Epillo Health Systems has rolled out in Asia and the US its latest clinical solutions, including EHRs for clinics and pharmacies and a mobile app.

Last month, Melbourne-based Alfred Health tapped 3M for its clinical documentation integrity and computer-assisted coding system to improve documentation and streamline processes.

ON THE RECORD

"We are committed to partnering with technology companies that provide the top tier, hi-touch customer service demanded by today’s healthcare clients. Ikonix Technology has a proven track record of technical expertise, strong customer service and support. We look forward to working closely together to expand our reach and support for the South Australian market," Ascom Australia Operations Head Rocky Khullar said in a statement.

"Partnerships between companies that deliver complementary technologies are particularly beneficial to the healthcare community. We at Ikonix Technology are proud to join forces with Ascom in support of our shared vision of closing digital information gaps," Ikonix Technology Director Carlo Reveruzzi also said.
