Austin, Texas-based virtual and on-demand care provider Remedy announced Dr. Ronald Dixon as its chief medical officer. Dixon, formerly the head of clinical affairs at Onduo and the president and CEO of Onduo Professionals (its provider staffing group), is expected to draw on his experience to help Remedy build out its virtual chronic care treatment services.

“Dr. Dixon’s experience in developing top-notch health care technology platforms and virtual disease-management protocols will help expand the services Remedy provides to our patients and employer partners,” Dr. Jeremy Gabrysch, founder and CEO of Remedy. “With Ron’s guidance, the Remedy model for delivering health care will now help physicians more effectively manage not just acute conditions, but also a range of chronic conditions, including cardiovascular disease and mental health.”

Digital chronic-disease-management company Changing Health has appointed Ashley Duqué Kienzle as its chief product officer. Ashley has spent time at Amazon, Facebook, Accenture and Capital One, but most recently held a director position at Babylon Health that was primarily focused on artificial intelligence development.

“I am thrilled to be working with such a dynamic and accomplished team at Changing Health. Joining Changing Health gives me the opportunity to contribute to the organization’s goal of supporting positive and transformative lifestyle changes that improve the health and livelihood of its users," Kienzle said in a statement. “Health tech and scientifically validated advice will play an increasingly critical role in supporting and enriching the lives of countless people. We have an incredibly exciting time ahead of us as we continue to build a user centric product to enable and promote positive behavior change.”

VillageMD, a tech-enabled management-services organization focused on value-based primary care, has brought Nina Nashif on board as chief innovation officer. Formerly the founder and CEO of Healthbox (which was sold to MobiHealthNews' parent company HIMSS in 2018), she will be heading up growth initiatives at VillageMD that aim to scale the company's primary care model and expand its presence across the country.

“Nina is the perfect choice to help VillageMD take its risk-based primary care model to the next level of scale,” Tim Barry, CEO and chairman of VillageMD, said in a statement. "VillageMD is in a dynamic phase of growth and Nina’s leadership will ensure we continue to push the boundaries to redefine healthcare while delivering the highest quality primary care services to people in their communities."

Consumer wellness brand and telehealth provider Hims & Hers announced last week that Julian Cohen would be supporting the company's growing behavioral telehealth business in his new role as SVP of behavioral health. Cohen was previously the cofounder of Breakthrough Behavioral – which was acquired by MDLive – and a behavioral health division lead at Teladoc.

“Hims & Hers was founded to break down the barriers to accessing care and eliminate stigma, both critically important efforts if we want to improve mental healthcare in this country,” Cohen said in a statement. “I’m thrilled to be joining the company to continue to build out its mental health category of care, and help Hims & Hers address the increasing need for mental health providers and treatments.”

Physician training videogame maker Level Ex hired Tom Donnelly as its first chief revenue officer. Coming from global marketing services agency Evoke, where he served as global chief growth officer and president of North America, Donnelly will oversee the company's pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device sales, partnerships, customer success and revenue operations.

“I’ve spent my entire career partnering with pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies who were seeking innovative ideas, tools or products. The concept of using video game technology to advance the practice of medicine certainly checks that box,” Donnelly said in a statement. “Level Ex has assembled the very best video game and medical minds in the world who exemplify passion, energy and belief in the mission of the company. I’m proud to have the opportunity to help lead the next chapter of evolution while establishing strategic and long-lasting relationships with customers.”
