This morning, digital therapeutics maker Akili Interactive announced it has added a new CFO and general counsel to its ranks.
The former is Santosh Shanbhag, a senior executive who boasts a prior VP role at Vertex Pharmaceutical as well as positions at Capgemini Consulting and Texas Instruments. Jacqueline Studer, on the other hand, served as CVP, general counsel and secretary at IDEXX Laboratories, and before that held roles at Blue Health Intelligence, Allscripts Healthcare Solutions and GE Healthcare.
“Santosh and Jackie are talented executives whose extensive business strategy and diverse industry experience make them the perfect fit for our growing business,” Eddie Martucci, CEO of Akili, said in a statement. “They bring tremendous financial and legal expertise to the company which will help us continue to challenge the status quo of medicine on our path to deliver new hope to patients living with cognitive dysfunction.”

Level Ex, a Chicago-based company building skill-based video games for specialists, recently brought on Jason Rubinstein as its new COO. The new executive’s background ranges across the tech and gaming industries, consisting of positions at Intel, Ubisoft, Uptake, Syniverse, Redbox and Motorola.

AccuReg, a maker of patient-centered front-end revenue cycle products for hospitals, has hired David Peterson — a 20-year industry vet who held leadership positions at Change Healthcare and SpecialtyCare — as its chief marketing officer. In his new position, Peterson will be working build and execute strategies focused on increasing the company’s market share, winning new clients and holding on to existing customers.

Madan Nagaldinne, a former HR head at Compass, Facebook and Amazon, has joined Blink Health as its new chief people officer. The company will be looking to Nagaldinne to recruit new team members and build a strong internal culture for the pharmacy app maker.
