Healthcare transformation and AI are all the buzz in healthcare right now. It seems like everyone is trying to figure out what transformation looks like at their organization. Plus, we’re at a great confluence of technologies that’s opening the doors of transformation. There’s something powerful about bringing cloud computing, massive data stores, and always on communication devices together to address healthcare’s challenges.
While all these technologies are exciting, they’re also challenging to navigate. One of the people with a front row seat to these changes is Alissa Hsu Lynch, Global Lead, MedTech Strategy and Solutions at Google Cloud. Before Google, Lynch spent over 20 years as an executive at Johnson & Johnson working in MedTech and consumer goods. She’s seen a few changes over the years (That’s in the sarcasm font for those that couldn’t tell).
To better understand how healthcare is transforming and the role of big data and AI in this transformation, we sat down with Lynch to learn about some of the transformative things she and the team at Google Cloud are working on and the impact it will have on healthcare. Plus, we ask her if the hype around big data and AI is just hype or which parts are real.
We also ask her about what’s changed since her time working at J&J as compared to her work now at Google. Plus, we learned that Lynch was a professional dancer before her career at J&J and Google, so we had to mix in some lessons from the dance world that can be applied to healthcare.
